Their were several displays of Russian-crafted figures at the show. Those areas were constantly humming with ooo’s and ahh’s. And with good reason. The detailed brush strokes on elements like horse-hair and the wood-grain of a spear shaft are amazing. The figures are purportedly painted by art-school trained Russian painters (mainly women) who work on their area of specialty and then pass the figure on to the next painter.
