SCAHMS meetings at La Quinta Inn are on temporary hiatus until further notice. Unfortunately, SCAHMS will no longer be able to hold meetings at La Quinta Inn due to increased monthly rates. We are also reevaluating the club in general because of a lack of volunteers. It's time to take a break. We will keep this site, as well as FaceBook active in the meantime, and try to stay in touch with everyone. Hopefully the club can work something out.

We're having our yearly Christmas potluck & modeling day Saturday December 9th at La Quinta Inn, please come by and join in the fun! We've have plenty of food, drink & camaraderie! Bring in a project to work on, everything is welcome. Also, the Show 'n' Tell tables will be open.

Penny Meyer will be our special guest at the October meeting, she will be doing a slide show presentation on the recent World Expo in Chicago! Please come on by, this should be a good, especially for those that weren't able to attend the Expo. We'll have coffee and treats on hand.

We're happy to announce the return of the SCAHMS workshop on Saturday August 12th from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Come on by, bring your latest project, or something that's been back burned for sometime. You may want to just come by and hang out, we'll have plenty of activities such as airbrushing, painting figures, armor, weathering and more! Coffee and treat will be on hand, not to mention camaraderie!

We're happy to announce the return of our very own Randy Myers. Randy will be doing a presentation on making custom name plates. Using a laptop and a separate monitor Randy will go through the process of formatting, printing, and applying the name plate. We haven't had a demo like this in quite some time, so this should be a good one, and useful! Come on by, we'll have coffee, donuts and treats!

We're very happy to announce the return of Thor at our upcoming Feb. 11th meeting. Thor will demonstrate painting and weathering groundwork with acrylics, enamels and pigments with various techniques on different terrain samples. This should be a great presentation!

Our December meeting will be on the third week this year, instead of the second. Date is: December 17 (Saturday)

We're happy to announce that David Powell will be doing a presentation at the November 12th meeting. David will be demonstrating how to paint designs and patterns freehand! We're happy to announce the return of the SCAHMS modelling - workshop day on Saturday September 10th Hours are: 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Come on by, bring your current projects to work on, tell your friends! We'll have lot's going on, including demos, airbrushing, weathering and more. There will be plenty of modelers on hand with tips and techniques and willing to lend a hand. Or you can come by to just hang out, and visit with friends and like minded people, always a fun event, highly recommended!
