A Look Back at SCAHMS 2009

Better late than never?
These photos are long overdue to be shown. Having gotten quite behind in my duties last year I am hopeful that showing off these great works from last years SCAHMS California Show might encourage a few people who are able to visit the coming show in mid-March. If you are near or able to come to Southern California that weekend this show is not one to be missed. And this humble reporter will try to do a better job for the 2010 show in terms of getting my report out in a reasonable time. Sadly I was unable to process all the photos in the style and credit that I would have liked. My apologies to those artists not fully credited for their wonderful work. As I said I will try to do better for the coming show.

Enjoy the photos!

I don't know what got me started on Armor. I must have seen a Monogram tank kit one day and said "Mom...

Thank you very much for posting! I had a great time watching these pictures. Some of the models shown I've already seen here or on HF - these by Charles were very popular around here some time ago. Thanks again for posting. Andrzej

FYI: Doug Cohen took numerous awards and Best of Show down here at FiestaCon here in San Antonio, Texas this past weekend. I meet Doug back in 1996 when I started working at Hobby Maker in Bedford, Texas. Him and a few other well known modelers are my inspiration.

Jim, I just noticed that you got a pic of the anniversary display I put together, thanks for that. I think it might be the only record of it from the show. I'm planning one for the 30th Anniversary in 2014.
